Cookieless web analytics

Privacy, paired with insight.

Everything gets measured. Nobody gets tracked. No cookies, no stored IP addresses, nothing written to a visitor’s device, and no consent banner. Every session counted, past ad blockers, unsampled.

The insight

Every visit, counted.

Traffic, pages, referrers, countries, devices, languages, and any event you define, live and unsampled. The numbers are whole because nothing sits between your visitors and the count.

The marketing layer

Spend, paired with results.

Pear Metrics is built on Umami, which already counts sessions without cookies. What it could not tell you is what any of it cost.

So this fork adds a spend layer: your ad accounts, synced daily at campaign level and joined to sessions on the UTM triple. One row per campaign, with its spend, sessions, conversions and CPA side by side. Money and clicks are all that is ever requested from an ad platform, because anything user-level would undo everything above.

Google Ads and Meta today; more platforms are on the roadmap.

One row per campaign, both platforms. Figures shown are illustrative.

Both platforms, one axis.

Daily spend in one currency, cut on one set of days. Getting those two right is most of the work, and it is done for you.

What we don’t do.

A pear character shrugging, palms turned up.

We don’t show you individual visitors. We don’t build audiences. We don’t follow anyone across the internet. We can’t tell you that user #48291 visited four times, because there is no user #48291. There’s no cookie, no fingerprint, no stored IP address.

What’s left is what you decide with anyway: how many people came, where from, and what they did.

It also means there are no data subject requests to service. When someone asks what you hold on them, or asks you to delete it, there is no record of that person to find.

Exactly what is and is not collected

01

Everything gets counted.

Every session, page, referrer, country, device and event. First-party, from your own subdomain, so the count survives the blockers that quietly hollow out everyone else’s numbers.

02

Nobody gets tracked.

Sessions are counted with a server-side hash whose salt rotates daily. No identifier survives until tomorrow, so there is no profile, no history, and no person in the data.

03

Nothing to consent to.

No device storage means no consent banner for analytics. The visitors who would have declined are still counted, which is the difference between a real number and a modelled one.

How it works

Three steps.

The mechanics in full

  1. Add one DNS record and one line to your site. The script is served from your own subdomain.

  2. Connect your ad accounts, if you want the marketing layer. Currency and timezone are read from the platform, not typed.

  3. Read the table. Data starts arriving within about ten minutes.

Count everyone. Track nobody.
